Auburndale girls basketball edges Edgar

EDGAR – The Auburndale girls basketball team ended its regular season on a high note, edging Edgar 38-37 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Friday night at Edgar High School.

Georgi Schmutzer had 10 points and Natalie Aue added nine for the Apaches.

Auburndale finishes the regular season with an 11-11 record and a 7-9 mark in the Marawood South, tying Edgar (10-11 overall) for fourth place in the standings.

Auburndale plays at Stevens Point Pacelli in a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal Friday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m.
