The WIAA’s newly released 2026-27 Division 4 girls basketball sectional assignments hold 97 schools, and every one of last year’s four sectional champions — Neillsville, Saint Mary Catholic, Albany/Monticello and Lomira — stays in the same sectional number for 2026-27. The notable arrival comes from below: a reigning Division 5 sectional champion moving up.
A Division 5 champion jumps up
Eleva-Strum won last year’s Division 5 Sectional 1 title with a 64–44 sectional-final victory. The program moves up to Division 4 for 2026-27, landing in Sectional 1 — a promotion that mirrors the boys Division 4 story, where Sectional 2 champion Bonduel jumped up rather than down.
Barron arrives from Division 3
Barron played Division 3 basketball in 2025-26 and drops to Division 4 for 2026-27, also landing in Sectional 1 alongside Eleva-Strum.
Stability at the top
Unlike Division 1, 2 and 3 in this year’s girls realignment, Division 4 saw no sectional champion change divisions downward and no champion swap sectionals — all four title-winning programs return to defend in the same bracket number.
