Wausau (OnFocus) – The Auburndale Eagles built on their lead in the Marawood Conference standings, picking up a big 71-53 win over Newman Catholic. The win improved Auburndale to 7-1, ahead of second place 5-1 Edgar.
Hunter Wright led Auburndale with 23 points and 10 rebounds
Alex Willfahrt and Schuyler Gilhausen added 14 points apiece. Gilhausen connected on 4 of 8 shots from three point territory.
Mason Prey led Newman with 25 points and Charlie McCarty added 15 for Newman. Prey and McCarty each connected on 3 three-pointers.
