MARSHFIELD — Nathan Richardson needed 88 pitches and six innings to do it, but he never gave Manitowoc Legion Post 88 an earned run. Richardson threw a complete-game six innings — allowing just two unearned runs on three hits — as the Marshfield Post 54 Blue Devils rolled past Manitowoc 10–2 on Friday evening.
Richardson struck out three and walked four, but the Manitowoc offense never found a clean inning against him. The two runs that crossed were unearned, both coming on Marshfield errors. He hit two batters, worked out of traffic, and let his defense and an explosive lineup do the rest.

Marshfield answered a first-inning Manitowoc run with two in the second, then blew the game open with five in the third. Owen Griesbach went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Chase Robinson added a double and two RBI of his own, and Dawson Luther drove in two runs with a double as well. Three different Blue Devils with an extra-base hit and two RBI in the same game tells the story of how thoroughly Marshfield controlled the night offensively.
Mac Konieczny was everywhere in this one. Batting second at shortstop, he went 2-for-3 with a double and scored three times — the most runs scored by any player on either side. Mason Anderson reached base twice and scored twice despite just one official at-bat, drawing a walk and contributing a sacrifice fly. Bryce Schade and Kash Ostermann each added a sacrifice fly as well, with Marshfield going to the contact game when runners were in scoring position and doing the damage.
