Morgan Griesbach and Mya Katzenberger combined for a 3-inning perfect game as the Auburndale Eagles Softball downed Newman Catholic 15-0.
Griesbach would get the start, going the first two innings, striking out 5 of the 6 batters she faced. Katzenberger would pitch the bottom of the 3rd, striking out all 3 batters she faced.
Katzenberger would also lead the Eagles at the plate, going 1-2 with a double, a stolen base, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. Griesbach would go 2-4 with a home run, a run scored, and 2 RBIs. Chesney Nagel went 2-3 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored, and an RBI. Daelynn Blomberg went 2-2 with a double, a stolen base, 3 runs scored, and 2 RBIs.
The Eagles next take on the Owen-Withee Blackhawks on Thursday. Newman Catholic heads to Marathon on Tuesday.
