Wisconsin Rapids Graduate In Serious, Stable Condition After Shooting in Line of Duty

ROSEVILLE, MN (OnFocus) – Officer Ryan Duxbury of the Roseville Police Department near Minneapolis, Minnesota is in serious but stable condition after being shot in the head. Duxbury was responding to an active shooter investigation and was evacuated by fellow officers responding to the incident.

Duxbury is from Wisconsin Rapids, graduating from Lincoln High School in 2014. He was a standout athlete, earning a scholarship to play football at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. After graduating he was hired as a police office for the Roseville Police Department, a suburb of Minneapolis.

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department posted an update on its social media page asking people to keep Ryan in their prayers.

“Please keep Ryan, his family, and the Roseville Police Department in your thoughts and prayers while he recovers,” the department said. “This is a difficult time for all of us and we need and appreciate the community’s support.”
