MERRILL — Sixteen teams open the 2026 Wisconsin American Legion Softball State Tournament Friday at the Merrill Area Recreation Complex, and every game in both divisions will be streamed live by Sports OnFocus and Wausau Area Sports.

Edward Burns American Legion Post 46 hosts the tournament July 31–August 2, running Division 1 on Field 2 and Division 2 on Field 1. Both fields carry eight-team, double-elimination brackets, with play starting at 10 a.m. Friday and continuing through a potential if-necessary final Sunday afternoon.

Medford-Merrill Headlines Friday’s Slate

The marquee opener sits at 2 p.m. Friday on Field 2, where Medford Post 147 meets host Merrill Post 46. Medford arrives off a Division 1 regional title on its home field, where Rylee Hraby closed with a 0.00 ERA and 28 strikeouts and Tori Nicks, Addison Brahmer and Finley Arndt anchored a lineup that produced the regional’s top hitting marks. Rhinelander Post 7 and Edgar SR Legion also came out of that Medford regional, and Edgar carries a spot in Division 1 into a noon opener against Waupun Post 210.

Wausau Post 10 and Sparta Post 100 open the tournament at 10 a.m., with Arcadia and Allentown closing out the first round of Division 1 games at 4 p.m.
