Baltus Express Lube Sold to Schierl Tire and Service

After ninety-two years in the automotive service business in Marshfield, Baltus Express Lube has sold its business to Schierl Tire and Service in Marshfield.

“It was a very difficult and emotional decision to make, but having reached an age where retirement is on the horizon, and with the pending retirement of a few long-standing associates, it is the right time to make this transition,” said John Baltus, owner of The Baltus Company.

“We were given a great opportunity to work with John on the purchase of the Baltus Service center and Express Lube in Marshfield,” stated Tim Schierl, Co-CEO, Team Schierl Companies. “With the help of John and our Schierl Tire and Service team, we will make the transition seamless and worry-free for the guest and continue to carry on the exceptional service that Baltus has provided for many years. We are also excited to have Jon Kasco from the Baltus team join Schierl Tire and Service.”

Schierl Tire and Service located at 2201 West Veteran’s Parkway in Marshfield will undergo some changes for the express lube portion of the business by converting two of its current service bays to accommodate the express lube clientele.

Express full-service oil changes will be offered Monday-Friday and Saturday morning during normal business hours. Business operations will transition to Schierl Tire & Service, Marshfield, effective Friday, November 1, 2019.

Team Schierl Companies (TSC) was established in 1956 by John “Butch” Schierl in the home heating oil business. TSC is currently owned and operated by John’s three sons, Tim, Fritz, and Bill Schierl. TSC operates 64 retail locations in Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan focusing primarily in-service industries.
