Jirschele and Thomer Lead Mosinee Boys Past Green Bay Preble

Mosinee vs. Green Bay Preble  Won:  84-63

 

The Mosinee basketball boys took it to the court at the Green Bay Preble Holiday Tournament.  It was a physical battle and the boys overcame foul trouble throughout the entire game.  Mosinee would take it to the locker room at half with a 45-34 lead.  They were led at half by Keagen Jirschele with 12 points, Cole Kowalski with 11 points, Aidan Shaughnessy with 8 points, Garrett Shupe with 8 points, and Landen Thomer with 6 points.  Out of half, Green Bay Preble went on a quick run to get the score within 4 points.  After a quick timeout, Mosinee went on a large run to put the game out of reach. The score ended in Mosinee’s favor with an 84-63 win.

 Mosinee was led in scoring by Keagen Jirschele with 29 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals while hitting three 3’s.  Landen Thomer with 17 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 1 block while hitting three 3’s.  Cole Kowalski added 16 points, 3 assists, 1 rebound.  Aidan Shaughnessy added 10 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals while hitting two 3’s.  Garrett Shupe added 8 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocks while hitting two 3’s.  Treve Stoffel rounded out the scoring with 4 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal.
