Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) The Coffee Cabin will be changing ownership.

“After 17 years as owners of the Coffee Cabin, Matt and Carrie [Demmerly] are handing things off to new owners at the end of the month,” the business announced in a Facebook post. “Thank you everyone for supporting us over the years.”

The drive-through business located by Shopko Plaza asks customers to redeem any gift certificates by the end of May.

Starting June 4, the new owner of the Coffee Cabin will be Kirsten Tertin, a local to Marshfield.

“I have always been in the coffee industry and it has always been my favorite environment,” she said. “I’ve always wanted to open up my own, but didn’t feel Marshfield needed another coffee establishment. When we found out Matt and Carrie had their business listed, we began the conversation to carry on what they have already started.

Tertin plans to add a few new beverages to the menu. “However, your flavors, recipes, and beverages that the community has grown to love will stay the same,” she said.

Some other new additions will be a loyalty program, bakery items, delivery service, and online ordering/pick-up. Tertin noted that most of the current staff will be staying on, which will help beverages stay consistent to what customers are used to.
