Central Standard Craft Distillery Partners With Milwaukee Brewers Legend Corey Hart on Smoked Lemon Moonshine
Two-time All-Star Corey Hart returns to Milwaukee to craft Corey Hart’s #1 Ballpark Shine
MILWAUKEE, Wis. (June 5, 2024) — Milwaukee baseball icon Corey Hart and
Milwaukee-based Central Standard Craft Distillery come together to launch a new premium
moonshine, Corey Hart’s #1 Ballpark Shine.
This collaboration marks a significant return for Corey Hart, who spent 10 years with the
Milwaukee Brewers. The moonshine is a special celebration of his storied career and Milwaukee pride, paying homage to the city’s rich baseball history. Made to elevate tailgates, the moonshine is crafted with lemon-flavored vodka and smoked lemon.
“After 11 years living away from Milwaukee, it felt like time to return for one more win,” said Hart,
former Milwaukee Brewers outfielder and first baseman. “This moonshine is a small way to
honor the city that always felt like home to me and pay tribute to the years of fans’ love and support.”
Hart made his debut with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2004, playing until 2013. While he last
officially played in the major leagues in 2015, he signed a one-day contract with the Milwaukee
Brewers in 2017 to retire as a Brewer.
“Corey’s dedication and deep connection to this city resonate with us at Central Standard,” said
Pat McQuillan, co-founder of Central Standard Craft Distillery. “From the diamond to the
distillery, Corey’s carried a love for this city and precision for his craft that make for a winning
combination.”
The moonshine delivers a smooth and robust flavor profile with notes of smoky lemon. The
citrusy liqueur is designed to be enjoyed over ice or as a mixer, best combined with sodas and
juices, club soda or lemonade.
Corey Hart’s #1 Ballpark Shine has an ABV of 30% and will come in 750mL bottles. It is
available for purchase exclusively at the distillery’s restaurant in downtown Milwaukee, Central
Standard Crafthouse & Kitchen, with plans to expand across the state this summer. To learn
