Conference outlook: Judging from the early season scores, Assumption looks very tough, after that we are all in the figuring out phase. The Marawood South is always a tough conference so it will be interesting to see how it all shakes out this year.
Keys to your success this season: We are a young team with very little returning varsity experience. We graduated all five starters from last season and 8 seniors total. This year’s team is hard working and very determined to succeed. Keys to our success include being dominant defensively and consistently scoring. With a young team we also need to continually improve our basketball skills and basketball I.Q.
Behind the scenes: Who are some of the people that help your program succeed? I have a great group of volunteers that come in throughout the season to help teach different aspects of the game. Greg Belter, Troy Bargender, Katie Wojcek, Don Spindler and several former players. It is a long, grinding season and the Stratford community and parents are always very supportive.
Coach’s comments: anything else you’d like to share?
This is my 25th year of coaching basketball and I am super excited to watch this group of young ladies grow and improve their skills throughout the season. They are hard working in the classroom and on the court and I am confident that they will put together a very competitive season.
