In the Marshfield alderman race, two incumbents not seeking re-election are Chris Jockheck of District 3 and Steve Mac Swain of District 5.

Quentin Rosandich has declared candidacy for District 3 and Ed Wagner is running for District 5. Wagner was previously elected as alderman in 2006 and did not seek re-election in 2018.

Odd-numbered districts (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) are all up for election for two-year terms. Other incumbents Mike Feirer, Adam Fischer, and Tom Buttke have taken out paperwork and have yet to face any opposition.

Mayor Bob McManus has taken out paperwork to run for a second two-year term and is the only candidate so far.

Two 3-year positions on the Marshfield School Board held by Dorothy Chaney and Mark Konrardy are up in 2020. Chaney was the only candidate who had filed paperwork at press time.

There are 19 seats up for election on the Wood County Board and 14 board members have already filed for re-election. Members who have yet to declare their candidacy or file non-candidacy include Mark Holbrook (10), Douglas Machon (12), Marion Hokamp (13), Joseph Zurfluh (17), and Brad Hamilton (18).

Incumbents have until Friday, Dec. 27 to give notice that they will not be seeking re-election.

Former board member Ed Wagner is the only candidate for the District 4 seat, which has been filled since November by Dawn Urban after a resignation. The only district to currently have multiple candidates is District 7 with incumbent Robert Ashbeck challenged by Bill Voight of Milladore.

If needed, the 2020 spring primary will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 18 followed by the election on Tuesday, April 7.
