Submitted – Bob Steiner for McMillan Town Board

OnFocus – My name is Bob Steiner and I am running for a seat on the McMillan Town Board. I have been a resident of McMillan since 2013, when my family and I moved here from Portland, Oregon. Milwaukee was my birthplace and home until I headed to UW-Madison, where I completed my education through medical school. I am a physician, scientist and small business owner.

I have 23 years of leadership experience in academics, research institute, and biotech. I communicate well with all walks of life, having experience working with day laborers, RNs, MDs, and venture capitalists. Conflict resolution and consensus building have been an essential part of my professional life.

Working hard, long hours is nothing new to me. My first job was on the wood chipper and garbage truck for the village of Fox Point. My wife and I have put in countless hours learning how to manage our acreage as members of Wisconsin Covert Project and Snapshot Wisconsin programs.

We love our new home! I hope to serve on the McMillan Town Board with a fresh perspective backed up by a proven record of conscientious leadership, conflict resolution, and open-mindedness.
