OSHKOSH, WI (OnFocus) – Wisconsin National Guard senior leadership will join the family and friends of over 600 deploying Soldiers for a noon sendoff ceremony at the Kolf Sports Center May 31.
Soldiers assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 127th Infantry Regiment and Gulf Company, 132nd Brigade Support Battalion will be formally recognized at the event as they are mobilized to active duty before departing for pre-mobilization training.
Following training, they will deploy to the U.S. Central Command area of operations where they will work with our NATO partners to promote regional security and stability in the region.
The Wisconsin National Guard is comprised of more than 9,000 Soldiers and Airmen who regularly deploy worldwide in support of their federal mission and remain continuously prepared to support domestic emergencies within the state of Wisconsin and throughout the U.S.
