VESPER, WI (OnFocus) – On Monday, May 19, the Village of Vesper came alive with community spirit as volunteers gathered for the annual Tree Planting Day, an event dedicated to growing a greener, healthier future for the village. With shovels in hand and smiles on their faces, participants planted 36 new trees across local parks and public spaces.
This year’s event was marked by strong collaboration between residents, students, and civic groups. Volunteers of all ages joined forces to make a lasting environmental impact, working side-by-side to enhance the beauty and livability of Vesper. Students and staff from several area schools contributed significantly to the effort, treating the day as both a service project and an educational opportunity in environmental stewardship.
The atmosphere was one of camaraderie and purpose, fueled by a shared goal of sustainability and pride in the community. Lunch and refreshments helped keep spirits high, while the local fire department assisted in giving the newly planted trees a much-needed initial watering.
The trees planted this year will do more than beautify the landscape—they’ll provide shade, improve air quality, and strengthen the village’s public spaces for generations to come.
This initiative was made possible through the continued support of a community-wide partnership and funding from a tree grant program. The Village of Vesper extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and helped bring this vision to life.
