Two Juveniles Injured in ATV Crash in Wood County

WOOD COUNTY, WI (OnFocus) – Authorities are investigating an ATV crash that occurred Thursday evening, May 15, 2025, which left two individuals injured near the intersection of Seneca Road and Range Road.

According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:15 p.m., following a report of an all-terrain vehicle crash in the rural area.

Upon arrival, deputies and medical responders determined that two individuals had sustained injuries when the ATV they were riding crashed and overturned, pinning both beneath the vehicle. One of the victims, due to the severity of their injuries, was airlifted by Aspirus MedEvac to a regional hospital for further treatment.

Initial investigation at the scene revealed that the ATV was traveling westbound on Seneca Road when the operator lost control near the Range Road intersection. The crash resulted in the ATV rolling and landing on both occupants, trapping them under the vehicle.

Multiple agencies responded to assist with the emergency, including the Nekoosa Police Department, Wood County Rescue, Port Edwards First Responders, Port Edwards Fire Department, Aspirus MedEvac, United Ambulance, Wood County Dispatch, and Nieman’s Tow Service.

The incident remains under investigation by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department.
