ARPIN, WI (OnFocus) – On May 15, 2025, at the conclusion of an investigation, the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, in coordination with the Marshfield Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence in the Town of Arpin, Wood County, Wisconsin.

The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip received by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), indicating that an individual in the area was in possession of child pornography. Information received from NCMEC, along with additional evidence gathered during the investigation, led to the issuance and execution of the search warrant.

While the search warrant was being executed, Jason Parrish, age 52, was located at his place of employment in the City of Marshfield. Parrish was taken into custody in connection with the possession of child pornography.

It is believed that Parrish was in possession of numerous nude photographs of prepubescent and pubescent children. During an interview with investigators, Parrish admitted to accessing websites and viewing nude images of children between the ages of 3 and 12 years old.

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department and Marshfield Police Department are currently processing a significant volume of digital evidence seized during the search. Jason Parrish is being held at the Wood County Jail and is currently charged with Possession of Child Pornography. Additional charges are likely and will be referred to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office as the investigation continues.

These types of investigations are extremely time-consuming and emotionally taxing for law enforcement personnel, who must review graphic content as part of the prosecution process. The Wood County Sheriff’s Department extends its gratitude to all officers and agencies involved in this case, and to law enforcement professionals throughout the state for their ongoing commitment to protecting children.
