Rhinelander Man Arrested for Third OWI, Cocaine Possession in Marshfield

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) — A 43-year-old man from Rhinelander was arrested in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 11, on charges of operating while intoxicated (OWI) third offense and possession of cocaine, according to a report from the Marshfield Police Department.

At approximately 2:41 a.m., officers responded to the Woodfield Inn and Suites parking lot after observing a 2024 white RAM Bighorn truck idling for an extended period. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers discovered a man asleep in the driver’s seat.

Police conducted a welfare check, which led to further investigation. The man was subsequently taken into custody for suspected impaired driving. During the arrest, officers also located a quantity of cocaine in his possession.

Following standard procedures, a bond screening was completed. The individual was later released to a sober, responsible party.

No injuries or additional incidents were reported. The case has been referred to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
