MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The Marshfield Police Department has documented several recent incidents across the city, addressing a variety of public safety and criminal matters. Traffic-Related Incidents

  • Traffic Accident with Injury: A collision resulting in injuries occurred in the 1400 block of N Central Avenue. Officers were dispatched to a medical call for an unresponsive female. Officers later learned that she had been struck by a vehicle at a different location prior to the report. As a result, a 20-year-old Stratford male was arrested for OWi causing injury. The female was transported to MMC by Marshfield Ambulance.

  • Hit and Run Accident: A hit-and-run incident was reported at 11th/Cedar. The responsible vehicle fled the scene, prompting an ongoing investigation by the police. The suspect is identified and will receive a citation.

Public Order and Criminal Incidents

  • Disorderly Conduct: Police responded to a disturbance involving disorderly conduct in the 400 block of N Ash Ave. Officers intervened to de-escalate the situation and restore order, ensuring public safety in the area.

  • Elder Abuse: The Marshfield Medical Center ER reported a patient had been assaulted by a neighbor. Officers responded and documented the incident. Ultimately a 60 year-old Marshfield Male was placed under arrest and transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office for Disorderly Conduct, Physical abuse of an elder person, and use of a dangerous weapon.
  • Obstructing/Warrant: An incident involving obstruction of justice and an active warrant was handled by police at a Marshfield location. Authorities took necessary actions to address the legal issues and resolve the matter.

  • Battery: A physical altercation, classified as battery under class code 142A with case number 25-5554, took place at an unspecified site in Marshfield. Officers responded promptly to investigate the incident, ensure the safety of those involved, and gather evidence.

  • Retail Theft: A theft was reported at 817 S Central Ave. The suspect was identified as a 44 year old Clark County male. A 51 year-old Clark County female then obstructed the investigation. Charges on both subjects will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
