Bill was born on January 25, 1933, in the town of Lincoln to Isadore and Mary (Braunsky) Dieringer. He was a graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. Bill took over the family dairy farm until his retirement.
He was united in marriage to Mona Mueller on December 26, 1977, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
Bill and Mona enjoyed many years at their cabin on the Big Eau Pleine in Mosinee, as well as many years wintering at their home in Winter Haven, Florida. They enjoyed traveling and visiting many countries. Bill spent many hours in his garden, which always flourished. He enjoyed bowling, was an avid golfer, a master wood carver, and a great sportsman – going on many trips to Canada with his buddies. He spent many hours playing sheepshead, where he was a fierce competitor.
He is survived by his stepson, David (Rae Anne) Mueller of Marshfield; his granddaughter, Ashley (Cody) Vruwink of Auburndale; along with six great grandchildren: Austin, Aidan (Annie), Addison, Kyliah, Brielle, and Whitley; and four great great grandchildren: Ashten, Allyson, Mia, and Alaina. He is also survived by sisters in law Darleene Giese and Patricia Hamus.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mona, and his granddaughter, Tiffany. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his sisters and their spouses: Luella (Gil) Petroske, Shirley (Jim) Strupp, Betty (Danny) Merkel; and nephews Douglas Merkel and David Petroske; sister in law Janet Kiehl; and brothers in law Willard Kiehl, Floyd Hamus, and Earl Giese, and also his very dear friend Nell Lloyd.
