Tom was born April 25, 1960, to Elaine and Richard Fehrenbach, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Marshfield. He was the ninth child, third son, and was surrounded by sisters. Tom’s favorite response when he needed to explain an action was “I had eight sisters”.
Tom had the natural ability to socialize and make friends. His infectious smile could light up any room, and his kindness and willingness to help others touched everyone he met. Tom found joy in the simplest things and could spread that joy to others.
Tom attended St. John’s Catholic School, and high school and college in Marshfield. He married Connie (Coaty) in August of 1996 and they later divorced.
Tom worked for many years in Sales at S & S Distributing. He was most proud of and thoroughly enjoyed serving as a WIAA Boys High School Soccer Referee for over 30 years.
Tom was an avid supporter of high school, college and professional sports leagues. He had a passion for gardening, deer hunting, fishing, traveling, and attending concerts and sporting events.
Tom is survived by his step-son, Quinn Coaty; siblings, Bonnie Arnoldy, Carol Haumschild (Dan), Tim Fehrenbach, Mary Fehrenbach, Diane (Eric) Fehrenbach, Nancy (Allen) Polster, and Janet Southworth. He is further survived by a brother-in-law, Peter Knight; numerous nieces and nephews and their families; and many dear cousins and friends.
Tom was preceded by his parents, Richard and Elaine Fehrenbach; grandparents, William and Grace Spitt and William and Helen Fehrenbach; brother, Terry; sisters, Sharon and Ann; brother-in-law, Roger Arnoldy and sister-in-law, Sheri Fehrenbach.
“My brother may not always be at my side, but he’s always in my heart”.
A special thank you to Marshfield Clinic physicians and staff who cared for Tom; Compassus Hospice Care; and Dana’s Tender Hearts Home.
