Sally K. Ackerman, 69, Marshfield, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Wells Nature View in Marshfield surrounded by family.
Sally was born on January 29, 1956 in Wisconsin Rapids to Henry R. Jr. and Mary (Levers) Ebsen. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids and went on to receive her lab technician certification from Riverview Hospital – where she worked at a phlebotomist for several years. She then worked for Ebsen Greenhouses in Wisconsin Rapids until it closed in 2017. She later worked at Menards, Prince Corporation, and Spring Green Floral in Marshfield.
Sally was united in marriage to Bruce Ackerman on June 24, 2001.
Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She loved being a grandma and traveling to spend time with them. She also enjoyed crafting, sewing, canoeing, going out to different restaurants and riding on the back of Bruce’s Harley.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce, daughters, Kelly Crotteau and Sarah (Shane) Fuder, son, Nicholas (Allie) Ackerman, and grandchildren, Hajna Joy, Asher, Izabella, Louie, Elahna, and Nora.
She is further survived by her sisters, Mary Anne (Dennis) Spencer, Jean Patrice Rader, Debra (Dennis) Steuck, and Jennifer (Mark Adamski) Ebsen, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joy, parents, Henry and Mary, and sister, Mary Rebecca Gorham.
The family would like to thank Wells Nature View and St. Croix Hospice, as well as a special thanks to Sally’s friend, Sharon.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
