Cletus M. Rogney, 86, Auburndale, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Wells Nature View, Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 6, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Auburndale, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am until service time. Father Angi will officiate. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Cletus was born on August 2, 1938 in Marshfield to Floyd and Rose (Bredl) Rogney and attended school in Auburndale.
He was united in marriage to Norma Holden on June 4, 1959 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield. She passed away on November 16, 2019.
Cletus worked for Oscar Ledden Excavating, Haupt Well Drilling, Heller Plumbing, Stratford Plumbing & Heating, and Gaffney Plumbing.
He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, listening to polka music, scratching lottery tickets, and watching the Packers and Brewers. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Fr. John Eisen Council #1799.
He is survived by his 5 daughters, Nancy (Roger) Koplien of Sherry, Mary (Jed) Moore of Marshfield, Sharon (Gordie) Vruwink of Auburndale, Carol (Dan) Linzmeier of Sherry and Lori Rogney (Mark Meis) of Stratford. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Keicha (Chad) Seidl, Corey, Derek and Dylan Haasl, Cody (Ashley) Vruwink, Alexis Vruwink (Jason Severt), Zac and Zeke Linzmeier, and Gavin and Caylin Van Der Leest and 5 great granddaughters.
He is further survived by his brother, Ron (Lois) Rogney.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Clifford “Ollie” (Joyce) Rogney and Roger (Pat) Rogney, half-brother, Richard (Helen) Pankratz and half-sisters, Loretta (John) Ertl and Lucille (Norman) Swensen.
