Carol A. Beidel, 79, Marshfield, formerly of Stratford, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Wells Nature View.
A Rite of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 pm at Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford, on Friday, May 23, 2025, with visitation, beginning with the rosary, from 1:30 pm until the time of service. Rev. Sengole Vethanayagam will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County.
Carol was born on July 15, 1945, to Walter and Edna (Casperson) Beidel. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1963 and later went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in education at the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point. Carol taught a number of years at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Stratford and St. Mary’s Catholic School in Marathon before retiring to help with the family farm. She enjoyed puzzles, politics, and reading.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Karen Beidel, Linda Beidel, Patricia Altmann, Roger Beidel and Gerard Beidel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Edna; her brothers, Jim, Jens, and Gene Beidel; her nephew, Jeff Beidel, and niece, Wanda Beidel.
The family wishes to thank the Wells Nature View and Heartland Hospice staffs for their kind and compassionate care at the end of Carol’s life. We also wish to acknowledge the help her many farm neighbors provided her, but especially the care provided by Ruth and David Weaver.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Joseph’s Catholic School or to the Stratford Food Pantry.
