Bruce N. Felix, 73, Marshfield, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at House of the Dove.

Bruce was born on December 25, 1951 in Neillsville to John and Verdelle (Turnquist) Felix. He graduated from Greenwood High School and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. He was united in marriage to Deborah (Schade) Mientke on October 24, 2002 in Greenwood.

Bruce worked in county- and state-level human services in Wisconsin and Texas, serving individuals with mental illness and developmental disabilities, and those seeking refuge in women’s shelters.  Bruce, along with his wife Deb, also collected and sold antiques at the former Railroad Antique Mall of Marshfield.

Bruce was a lifelong music fan and musician and played his guitar more days than not.  He loved live music and travelled far and wide with family and friends to attend music festivals and concerts.  He was a skilled craftsman who could fix or make pretty much anything given enough time to work it out.  Bruce was an avid photographer, a concerned and politically-active citizen, and the caretaker of a host of backyard birds.  He also generously donated his time and talents at the Upham House of Marshfield. Most importantly, Bruce was a wonderful father, partner and friend and will be terribly missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Deb, his daughter Nichole Felix, stepson, Barry Mientke, and step grandchildren, Austin and Kaileigh Mientke, and stepchildren Scott Frisch, Joel Frisch, Aaron Frisch, Shane Frisch, Angela Holcomb, and Craig Frisch.

He is further survived by his brother, Douglas Felix.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Felix, wife, Pamela Felix, and ex-wife, Sandra Felix.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Civil Liberties Union, Marshfield Area Pet Shelter, or St. Vincent de Paul Outreach of Marshfield.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nursing staff at House of the Dove in Marshfield.

Bruce’s family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at a later date, time to be arranged.
