Adoume (Mediene) Jensen, 91, Milladore, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Marshfield Medical Center.
There will be no public funeral service. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Adoume was born February 20, 1934 in Rochefort, France to Ahmed Mediene and Juliette Yvonne Mellard. She attended school in that town and excelled academically despite the chaos of the war surrounding her. She immigrated to the United States in 1957 and quickly settled down in West Allis, WI where she would later meet her husband.
She and John C. Jensen were married on August 3, 1964 in West Allis. They moved to Mauston, where John owned and operated a fertilizer plant. He sold the business and managed the Alaskan Supper Club and Bowling Alley. He went on to manage the heating and cooling department at the Mauson Co-op. He later bought and operated dairy farms in Vesper and Milladore. All this while Adoume was a supportive and constant pillar of love and dedication. She had become an enthusiastic cook with countless great family dinners to her credit. A talented gardener, she grew both flowers (and vegetables) to enjoy. Adoume loved the warmth of the companionship of cats and dogs, and especially loved being a grandma and great-grandma to her cherished progeny. She was a spicy spitfire of a woman and her sense of humor will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her two children, Keith Jensen (Tina) Jensen of Milladore and their children, Samantha (Wes) Gambs of Iowa Park, TX and Cynthia Jensen of Stevens Point, WI; and Michelle (Tom) Dankemyer of Chili and their children, Kristen Pelot of Chili, WI, Brian (Patricia) Jensen of Ashland, WI and Tyler Pelot, of Chili. Adoume is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Addy Gambs, John, Leonard, and Daisy Adoume Jensen. She is further survived by her siblings-in-law Joanne Jensen of Las Vegas, NV and James (Patricia) Jensen of Viroqua, WI. She is further survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother in France, and her husband in 2018.
