MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The Central Wisconsin State Fair has implemented a new bag policy for all grandstand events in an effort to enhance safety and streamline security procedures.
The new rules require attendees to follow a clear bag policy. Approved bags include clear totes or backpacks that do not exceed 12 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches. Small non-clear clutches or handbags are also allowed, provided they are no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches, with or without a wrist or shoulder strap.
Bags that will not be permitted include non-clear backpacks, large purses, camera bags, and any bags that exceed the stated size limits.
All bags are subject to inspection at the gate. Items not meeting the approved criteria will not be allowed and may be discarded if left unattended. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items, which will still be subject to inspection.
