MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Fresh off a World Series appearance, Marshfield native Daulton Varsho was honored during Marshfield’s Downtown Holiday Parade on November 20. MMCCU, in partnership with Wheelers, helped celebrate the MLB outfielder and catcher by hosting the Gary Varsho Baseball League on their float.

“It was an honor to feature the Varsho Baseball League on our float this year,” said MMCCU President David Murphy. “Daulton’s achievements on the world baseball stage speak for themselves and we are glad he is home for the holiday season.”

A 2014 Marshfield High School graduate, Varsho was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the second round of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in December 2022. This year, the Blue Jays made a strong World Series run. In Game 2 of the 2025 American League Division Series, Varsho hit two home runs and two doubles, collecting four RBI in a 13 to 7 win over the New York Yankees.

MMCCU and Wheelers also each made a donation to the Gary Varsho Baseball League to support its work in guiding young players as they develop their skills.
