Medford Baseball Advances with Win Over Antigo

The Medford Raiders advanced to the regional semifinals with a 6-2 win over Antigo.

Medford was led at the plate by Charlie Gierl, who went 1-3 with a triple and an RBI. Evan Wilkins went 0-1 with 3 walks, 2 stolen bases, and a run scored. Parker Lissner went 1-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Ryder Kraschnewski had two stolen bases, and Evan Czarnezki had 1.

Hayden Strebig got the start, going 6 innings, giving up 2 runs, 1 earned, on 5 hits, 2 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Gierl pitched the final innings, giving up no runs, on no hits, 2 walks, and a strikeout.

Antigo was led a the plate by Zach Bula, who went 2-4 with a run scored.

Tate Unsinn got the start, going 5.2 innings, giving up 6 runs, 1 earned, on 4 hits, 3 walks, and a strikeout. Scott Hagery got the last out, giving up a walk.

Medford next heads to Merrill for a regional semifinal on Tuesday.
