Marshfield Winter Farmers Market Opens January 10
MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The Marshfield Winter Farmers Market will open for the season on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the Second Street Community Center, located at 211 E 2nd Street in Marshfield. The market will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will continue every Saturday through the end of May.
Up to 20 vendors are expected to participate, offering a variety of food products including fresh sourdough bread, honey, maple syrup, eggs, meat, and baked goods. Vendors anticipate adding fresh produce offerings in early spring. The market will also feature craft vendors selling items such as candles and 3-D printed toys.
“The Winter Market was started by the Marshfield Farmers Market Co-operative board, made up of volunteer market vendors,” said Meliss Haack, Regional Farmers Market Coordinator. “There is a lot of work that goes into organizing a market, and this group has been incredible at considering all aspects of the market throughout the whole process.”
Organizers encourage attendees to bring reusable bags or totes and to bring cash to support small businesses. Market staff also encourage shoppers to talk with vendors about their products and production methods as a way to build connections within the community.
Opening day will include a customer drawing for door prizes, including two $25 gift certificates and a basket filled with products from local vendors.
“We are so excited to host the first-ever winter farmers market here in Marshfield!” said Diana Lang, Marshfield Farmers Market Cooperative board chair. “It feels like our little market family gets to be together all year round now. I can’t wait to see our regular customers from the summer farmers market this winter!”
A market vendor will regularly offer hot food for purchase during the winter season.
Community members can attend the Marshfield Winter Farmers Market beginning Saturday, January 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Second Street Community Center. Updates and additional information are available on Facebook through the Marshfield Farmers Market Cooperative page.
