Loyal kept their bid for an undefeated season alive with a big 5-inning win over Spencer, 13-1.
Loyal would score at least 1 run in every inning. Rhett Lamovec led the Greyhounds offense, going 3-3, 2 home runs, a double, a walk, 5 RBI, and 3 runs scored. Jonah Virks went 2-3 with a home run, 4 RBI, and a run scored. Reed Stiglitz hit a home run.
Lamovic also got the start, going the distance, giving up 1 earned run, on 2 hits, 5 walks, and 8 strikeouts.
Tyler Peterson got the start for Spencer. He went 1 inning, giving up 7 earned runs, on 5 hits, 3 walks, and 1 strikeout. Madden Prybylski went the next 3 innings, giving up 5 earned runs, on 4 hits, 3 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Drake Johnson did not record an out, giving up 1 earned run on 1 hit.
Both teams face off again in Spencer on Thursday.
