After a two year hiatus, Laura’s Groom Room is ready to get back in business this summer.

“I realized how much I missed it,” said owner Laura Pichler. After downsizing, Pichler became semi-retired but decided the time was right to add a grooming room again to her home in Arpin and reconnect with old clients.

Accepting small to large dogs, Laura’s Groom Room will provide the same services as before. “I offer a full grooming package, nails and bath, and clipping or trimming,” she said. Simple bath packages and walk-in nail trimmings are also available.

Upon graduation from grooming school, Pichler ran a mobile business called “Grooming on the Go” for ten years until 2015, when she began operating out of her home as Laura’s Groom Room for two years.

Additionally, she regularly volunteered her services for animals at Clark County Humane Society. A lifelong animal lover, Pichler keeps two dogs ages 10 and 15, one adopted from the shelter.

After moving to her new home, Pichler had put the business on hold but missed grooming. That’s when she saw an ad for a part-time groomer in Wisconsin Rapids.

“It was almost like fate,” Pichler said. “I fell right back into it.”

Now back in the business, Pichler is already taking appointments for this month. Laura’s Groom Room will be open Tuesday-Thursday from 9-5 p.m. at 9025 Arpin-Sherry Rd, Arpin. and on Mondays and Fridays by appointment. Call 715-207-9276 to set up a time.
