Madison, WI – November 17, 2025 – Kenosha St. Joseph Catholic capped an undefeated 14-0 season by defeating Cochrane-Fountain City 35-19 in the WIAA Division 7 State Football Finals at Camp Randall. St. Joseph Catholic’s efficient offense, led by a strong passing attack and consistent rushing, proved too much for Cochrane-Fountain City, who finished their impressive season with a 13-1 record.
Kenosha St. Joseph Catholic wasted no time asserting its dominance. After Cochrane-Fountain City punted on their opening drive, SJC quarterback Zach Rizzo connected with Tomas Baez for an 11-yard touchdown pass, completing an 8-play, 59-yard drive. However, Cochrane-Fountain City quickly answered, as Aidan Liswoski broke free for a 44-yard rushing touchdown on their next possession, tying the game at 7-7. SJC reclaimed the lead before the end of the first quarter, with Rizzo scoring on a 1-yard quarterback sneak after a 6-play, 67-yard drive, making it 14-7.
The second quarter saw SJC extend its lead further. Crisopher Kenesie plunged in for a 1-yard touchdown after a lengthy 10-play, 50-yard drive, followed by another Rizzo touchdown pass, this time a 10-yard strike to Dominic Rinaldi, to push the score to 28-7 by halftime. SJC’s offensive efficiency was on full display, converting crucial downs and maintaining drives.
Cochrane-Fountain City found a spark early in the third quarter when Dylan Hager returned a fumbled snap 57 yards for a touchdown, bringing the score to 28-13 (the extra point attempt failed). This defensive score kept CFC in the game and provided a much-needed morale boost. However, neither team managed to score for the remainder of the third quarter, with both defenses making key stops.
In the fourth quarter, Kenosha St. Joseph Catholic solidified its championship. Rizzo delivered a decisive 62-yard touchdown pass to Rinaldi, extending their lead to 35-13. Cochrane-Fountain City responded late in the game with Parker Kujak connecting with Steve Meyer for a 41-yard touchdown pass, but their two-point conversion failed, resulting in the final score of 35-19.
