Jase Apfelbeck pitched a gem on Tuesday to help Edgar clinch a share of the Marawood North Title and beat Auburndale 7-0.
Apfelbeck went the distance against the Eagles, giving up just 2 hits and striking out 11.
Lucas Stahnke led the team, going 2-5 with a double and an RBI. Apfelbeck went 2-4 with an RBI.
Blake Raab got the start, going 5 innings, giving up 7 runs, only 1 earned, on 11 hits, 1 walk, and 3 strikeouts. Nathan Richardson 4 went the final 2 innings, not giving up a run with 2 strikeouts.
Edgar has clinched a share of the conference title, but can win the title outright with a win at home against Auburndale on Thursday. If they lose, they will share the title with Auburndale and Marathon.
