Northwestern Tigers

The Northwestern Tigers are making their 3rd ever trip to Camp Randall and are looking to win their second-ever WIAA State Football Title, and their first since 1988. They rolled through the regular season, with their closest game being a 13-point win over Somerset in Week 2, and the Stratford Tigers were the only team to give them a real challenge in the playoffs with a 22-13 win.
The Tigers are led by a strong ground game, with Tysen Teal leading the way, carrying the ball 152 times for 1829 yards and 29 touchdowns. Breyer Burkhart rushed for 825 yards and 5 touchdowns. Ethan Harms rushed for 737 yards and 9 touchdowns. Mason Chell rushed for 556 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Northwestern also has a strong passing game, led by quarterback Kamden Kroll, who has completed 63.1% of his passes for 1118 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. Teal and Harms are his two big targets, with Tysen Teal catching 24 passes for 574 yards and 4 touchdowns, and Ethan Harms catching 29 passes for 553 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Mayville Cardinals

Playoff Wins: 41-0 vs Chilton, 28-21 vs Winnebago Lutheran, 26-21 vs Amherst, 27-15 vs Lake Country Lutheran
The Mayville Cardinals are looking for their second-ever state championship; their only other championship came in 1994, but they are making their 6th appearance at Camp Randall, their first since 2022. The Cardinals swept through an always difficult Flyway Conference, including a 35-0 win over perennial power St. Mary’s Springs, and a 14-7 win over Winnebago Lutheran.
Mayville has been a ground-first team, only passing for 374 yards on the season. Landen Baker has led the ground attack, rushing 255 times for 1767 yards and 23 touchdowns. Tanner Schneider has rushed for 704 yards and 8 touchdowns, Joe Pombersberger has rushed for 697 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Emerson Mittelstadt has completed 22 of 38 passes for 374 yards, 3 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, while also rushing the ball for 697 yards and 8 touchdowns.
