Auburndale Softball Downs Edgar, Keeps Pace in Marawood South

The Auburndale Eagles Softball Team got a big 5-1 win over Edgar to keep pace with Assumption in the Marawood South.

Mya Krings led the Eagles at the plate, going 1-2 with a double, 2 walks, 2 RBI, and a run scored. Myah Katzenberger went 1-3 with a walk, a stolen base, and 2 runs scored.

Morgan Griesbach got the start, going the distance, giving up 1 earned run, on 4 hits, and 7 strikeouts.

Edgar was led at the plate by Alyson Kolano 6, who went 2-3, and Riley Mueller went 1-3 with the lone RBI.

Lucy Kolodziej got the start, going 6 innings, giving up 5 runs, 3 earned, on 6 hits, 8 walks, and 3 strikeouts.

Auburndale and Assumption remained tied atop the Marawood South standings. If Auburndale wins on Thursday at Edgar, they clinch at least a share of the conference title. If they win and Assumption loses at home against Stratford. They clinch the title outright.
