OnFocus Athlete of the Week, April 27 – May 10
Zayleah Leohnard – Medford Softball – Zayleah had quite the week to wrap up April, going 9-11, 4 doubles, a homerun, and 14 RBI in Medford’s 3 games against Rhinelander and Tomahawk.
Angela Barnhardt and Molly Fox – Marshfield Softball – Barnhardt and Fox combined to throw an 8-inning 1-hit shutout against Eau Claire North. Fox also hit the go-ahead home run in the top of the 8th.
Talon and Slade Scheithauer – Rib Lake Baseball – Talon and Slade combined for a no-hitter in the Redmen’s 14-0 5 inning win over Phillips. Talon got the start, going 3 innings, giving up just 2 walks. Slade went the final 2.0, not allowing a baserunner.
Abby Wojick – Columbus Catholic Softball – Wojick threw a 3-inning perfect game in the Dons’ 18-0 win over Colby/Abby.
Tria Tubbs – Stratford Softball – Tria Tubbs had a day at the Thorp/Gilman Slamfest. At the plate, Tubbs went a combined 5-7, with a home run, 4 RBI, and 2 runs scored. She also threw a 2 hit shutout against McDonell Central.
