The Antigo Boys Hockey Team survived a comeback attempt by the Medford Raiders to get a 6-3 win.
Antigo would open a 4-0 lead in the first on goals from Alex Brittenham at 0:27, assisted by Liam Burt, at 2:32 from Alex Brittenham unassisted, at 6:49 from Liam Burt, assisted by Carson Rhode, and at 16:59 by Ethan Novy, assisted by Parker Chaney.
Medford would get one back in the 2nd, the only goal of the period, at 15:31 from Grady Crass, assisted by Luke Hartl.
Medford would open the third period with a pair of goals, at 4:29 from Shane Kiselicka, assisted by Tanner Hubbard, and at 4:57 from Cole Pernsteiner, unassisted, to cut the Red Robin’s lead to 4-3.
But then the Red Robins would pull away with two unassisted Liam Burt goals, the first at 11:52 and the second at 14:06 to give Antigo the 6-3 win.
The Red Robins were led by Liam Burt with 4 points (3 goals and 1 assist), and goalie Austin Martinson saved 3/32 shots he faced.
Jaxston Malzahn saved 6/22 shots he faced, while five raiders each notched 1 point.
The Raiders next host the Mosinee Indians on Tuesday, December 9th. Antigo next hosts Viroqua on Saturday, December 6th.
