Our content team is committed to producing high-quality, accurate and informational content for distribution across various platforms. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a background in Central Wisconsin who has writing experience, but we are willing to train the right person.
Job Title: Content Creator
Job Description: The Content Creator is responsible for assisting with content development, primarily news or feature story writing. Ability to work remotely, but job will require attending some meetings/events.
Time Commitment: 20-40 hours/week, Internship option
Compensation: Based on experience
Job Duties
- Research articles
- Interview sources
- Attend events as required
- Write, edit, and submit copy to the editor
- Proofread
- Verify facts
- Maintain a level of professionalism
Skills/Qualities Needed:
- Willingness to learn!
- Self-motivated
- Strong written skills
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic photography editing (cropping, etc)
- Passion for news and community
- Interest in marketing
