Wood County Sheriff’s Department Pays Tribute to K9 Toro

OnFocus – Wood County Sheriff’s Department announced via social media that retired K9 Toro has passed away.

“It’s with a heavy heart we announce the passing of K9 Toro. He was Sheriff’s Department’s 4th police dog, and recently was retired,” the department said in a statement.

Deputy James Pidgeon was Toro’s handler. Pidgeon and his family were taking care of Toro during his retirement years.

“We want to thank James for his dedication to the K9 Unit. We thank you for your service to the citizens of Wood County.”
