Wood County Reports 9 Positive COVID-19 Cases – May 21

(OnFocus) There are 9 positive COVID-19 cases in Wood County and 1,406 negative test results as of Thursday afternoon. Four individuals in Wood County have recovered.

In Wisconsin, there have been 13,885 positive cases, 163,238 negative test results, 2,218 hospitalizations (16%), and 487 deaths.

Last Friday there were 5 positive cases in Wood County, with 3 new cases reported over the weekend. Those three patients remain isolated at home, according to the Wood County Health Department.

“A contact investigation was initiated promptly and close contacts have been identified and contacted,” it stated.

No further info was available on the new positive case.
