Wood County Reports 8 Positive COVID-19 Cases

COVID-19 Update – May 19, 2020

Update from Wood County Health Department: The patients remain isolated at home. A contact investigation was initiated promptly and close contacts have been identified and contacted.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has reported 8 positive cases of COVID-19 for Wood County, a number which includes both active and recovered cases.

There have been 1,310 negative tests and no deaths related to COVID-19 in Wood County. Two patients have recovered.

Last Friday there were 5 positive cases reported, meaning an increase of 3 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend.

Marathon County reports 34 positive cases, 1,671 negative tests, and 1 death related to COVID-19, with 16 residents recovered.
