Wood County campgrounds will not be open for camping or shelter reservations in May 2020, according to a statement.

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the constant changes associated with it, we will no longer be taking camping or shelter reservations for the month of May, 2020,” Chad Schooley, department director said in a Facebook post. “Currently we still plan on opening campgrounds as scheduled on May 1st, but this date may be pushed back if recommended/required by the WC Health Department, WI DHS, or CDC. Additional information will be provided over the next couple weeks.”
