Wisconsin Rapids Gets Road Win at DCE, Moves into Second Place Tie in WVC

Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln and DCE began their WVC game in a tie for second place, but it was the Red RAiders that prevailed in a 28-21 victory. Rapids remains tied for second place with Wausau West, a 27-17 winner over SPASH.

Everest took a 7-0 lead before Rapids with a pair of second quarter scores. Evan Mathews hauled in a 38 yard pass from Teal Lucas and Leo Brostowitz scored on a one yard run to give Rapids a 14-7 halftime lead.

DCE came back to tie the game in the third quarter at 14 before Rapids took a two touchdown lead.  The Raiders’ first touchdown of the second half came on a Carter Christy 46 yard fumble return to paydirt, followed by a Brostowitz run of 21 yards.

Kailar Tritz had 6 tackles to lead the Red Raiders.
