2022 WBCA Hall of Fame Inductee: Dan Witter

On September 24th, 2022 Dan Witter, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln’s Head basketball coach was inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Coach Witter has coached for 39 years and 32 as a head coach. Coach Witter began his coaching career at Mount Senario. After coaching at Mount Senario, Dan became an assistant coach at Wausau Newman and in 1990 he became their head coach.

In 1999 Dan became the head coach at Lincoln High School. He has coached for
23 years at Lincoln and has coached more seasons and has won more games
than any coach in Lincoln High School History. Coach Witter continues to teach
physical education at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln and this winter he will start his
40th year of coaching, 24th as Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln’s Head coach.
