Winter Parking Restrictions to Begin in November

Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) From November through April, no parking will be permitted on city streets or city-owned parking lots between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m.

The parking restriction is to allow for effective snow removal during the winter months and will remain in effect regardless of actual snowfall. Regulations apply except during a declared snow emergency or else if a street is otherwise signed.

Under certain circumstances, permission to park can be granted by calling Wood County Dispatch at 715-387-4394 at the discretion of the shift commander. For city lots, the Marshfield Police Department may issue a permit for all-night parking. A permit can be purchased at the station during business hours, 7:30-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

As a reminder of the upcoming ordinance, courtesy warnings will be issued through October.
