(Stevens Point) – Wausau West escaped with a 57-54 win over the SPASH Panthers.
Kiley Deaton had 16 points to pace the Warriors. Alexis White had 13 points and Kenzie Deaton chipped in with 10 points.
Emma Jossie had 18 points to lead SPASH, with Lauren Strasman chipping in with 11.
“We just needed to make one more shot and we could’ve easily won the game,” shared SPASH Head Coach Kraig Terpstra. “Kids played hard and gave a really good team all they could handle.”
Jossie had four three-pointers and Zoe Fink drained a trio of threes.
Kylie Klismith led the Panthers with 6 rebounds.
“I am hoping we can build on this good performance,” added Terpstra.
The Panthers fell to 3-4 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference, 5-7 overall.
