On Friday, Oct. 25, Downtown Marshfield will close for trick-or-treating on Central Avenue from Veterans Ave to 4th Street starting at 3 p.m. However, 4th Street will remain open with crossing guards present. The event takes place from 4-5:30 p.m.

Due to safety concerns for trick-or-treaters, W. 5th Street from Oak Avenue to Schmidt Avenue will be closed to traffic from 4:30-8:00 p.m. on Oct. 31.

The following streets will be closed at 5th Street: Hardacre Avenue, Wisconsin Avenue, Adams Avenue, Drake Avenue and Columbus Avenue.

Due to the number of children who trick-or-treat in this area, the city anticipates that these side streets will be difficult to park on. Alternate side parking on ditched streets will be enforced. Please note that no parking will be allowed on W. 5th Street within the road closure limits.

Patrons of this area can use the parking lots at the following locations (see map):

• SJ Miller Park
• Our Lady of Peace lot located behind the church

Motorists take extreme care driving throughout the city as there will be many children out trick-or-treating. Marshfield’s trick-or-treat hours are from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 31.

If there are questions concerning this or other traffic control matters within the city, please contact the Engineering Division at (715) 486 -2034.
