Utility Commission Approves $80,000 in Donations to Two Projects

City Communicates OnFocus – The Marshfield Utility Commission approved donations to two upcoming projects.

The first was a $50,000 donations to help fund an educational water display that would be housed in the proposed new Wildwood Zoo Welcome Center.

The Welcome Center will be part of an improved exhibit space for the zoo’s cougars.

The Educational Water Display will show the water cycle in the Marshfield Area, will include rain clouds that will “rain” water on the display that it will pass through a river with many Marshfield landmarks along the table, according to Sam Warp, Wastewater Utility Superintendent and a member of the team putting this project together.

The second was an up to a $30,000 donation for the Marshfield Community Athletic Facility Project being undertaken by the School District of Marshfield.
